I was thinning out my pictures held on my computer and thought that while they were in a form that could be published digitally some Forum members might be interested in sharing a last glance of 'The Muhlveital Railway' alas no more.

These shots were taken in 2007 during the very memorable visit of the Bassett Lowke Society and various other bon viveurs trip in 2007.

Great pictures Allen. Thank you for sharing them.
Just makes me wish I'd bought another station canopy - they look good grouped together - very atmospheric.

In response to Staniermans suggested link to the Canopy offering on the Raylo site may I comment that the items on offer are from pre owned ACE stock and not new production.

Under the agreement we are endeavouring to finalise no pre 2008 ACE lines may be sold under the ACE label by any other party except ACE spares etc which had already been pre cast or punched ( not tin printed) and will not require amendment. I mention this as it was pointed out that these items might be new production but as the site indicated they were from an existing collection.

While commenting on this and as the topic of the Canopies was central I would point that the Canopies( AC/1) were entirely the inspiration of Andries Grabowsky ( platform tinplate designed by Brian Wright) and we would be delighted if production of that great kit was re introduced under the Darstaed label. In over century of gauge 0 station accessories nothing that much better was ever achieved. Perhaps the stalled Station Building to compliment the Canopy will now be issued by Darstaed.
