As an aside it was purchased from Modelfair who are very professional to deal with. The engine was delivered on the day and on time. Well done Nick.
The Met Vic has got me thinking about non-steam rolling stock. I love steam as much as anyone and have a small collection of 6 steam locos, the Met Vic being the only non-steam.
But as the Met Vic is so beautiful I am left wanting more. So note to Allen. What I want what I really really want is a GWR railcar. Two different body styles, plus the parcel car and several liveries. I would buy several (wife permitting). A big plus for me is the fact that like the Met Vic it could be tin-plate. Would the existence of motor bogies help. It would only need one.
Then of course there is the whole raft of first generation DMUs. My preference would be for a 2 car Derby lightweight.
I had better stop now before Allen gets cross with me, but it is my birthday in 5 days and I am not getting any younger so please Allen hurry up.
Thanks again for a wonderful loco.
