Both at home and shows I use Gaugemaster controllers and they have been faultless over the years.
Roy James' videos were a wonderful shot to the arm and in recent times I have been acquiring Atlas track with a view to creating a layout worthy of my ACE Trains. The track was loose laid on the staging with two mainline ovals of 100 feet with a largish terminous and numerous sidings, run round loops and so on but I am a time served procrasinator.
The further jolt took place yesterday with Allister H forcing my hand with simple wiring demonstrations.
One of the sticking points (npi) was that on part of the layout I wanted to use an old Bassett-Lowke Trainmaster 622 controller, basically for its retro look and because I had it. Allister duly checked it over and it is quite sound. We couldn't figure how the wiring should be attached but on checking the instructions there was reference to Clix Plugs for four shillings a dozen.
Can any member help with an illustration or photograph of a Clix Plug so that I know what I'm looking for? If originals are not available are ther resonable, funtional substitutes?
Does any member have experience of using a Trainmaster 622 and are they reliable?
One way or another the 622 will be on the control panel but I'd like it to be for more than just appearance.
Allen, I'm not plugging another make, just looking for information.
